    Who Needs to Use the GEFC?

    The people who need to use the Gloucester Emergency Food Cupboard are as varied as Canadians in general. It is possible they may be your neighbours. They include:
    • Families with children
    • Single parents
    • People working entry level jobs with no benefits
    • People waiting for E.I. benefits to begin
    • People receiving disability pensions
    • Senior citizens on pensions
    • Working people who experience a temporary financial crisis
    • Refugees and immigrants who need to improve their language skills or pass Canadian standards testing before they are able to work
    People use the Gloucester Emergency Food Cupboard only as long as they need our help and each year, there is a 40% turn-over in our clientele.
